Insurance

I am currently accepting CareFirst and Cigna insurance only, but plan to add more in the future. I am offering a discounted out-of-pocket rate for those who cannot use their health insurance.

My preferred methods of payment are cash, checks, or Zelle. I am also able to take credit/debit card payments.

Counseling & Psychotherapy

Counseling and Psychotherapy are terms that are often used synonymously, and refer to the act of talking about life's struggles with an unbiased, nonjudgmental person.

What's the difference?

For some, they serve the same purpose, and don't require a distinction. However, some clinicians will make a general distinction between the two as follows:

  • psychotherapy is more long-term work that strives to delve deeper into the client's past patterns in order to help gain clarity about current events
  • counseling puts more focus on specific issues (e.g. trauma, grief) and symptom management


I am happy to provide both of these services, and believe that collaborating with you is the only way to determine which type, frequency, and length of treatment will best suit your needs.

My Therapy Practice

I believe that learning about oneself is the first step to understanding how to navigate the world in a meaningful way. A strong therapeutic alliance is critical, and offers the opportunity to explore and process without judgement, so the client's authentic self can be seen and understood. I believe this vulnerable process is often the root of success in all areas of life.


I take a person-centered, strength-based approach, and believe that therapy must be catered to each individual. I utilize techniques from CBT, DBT, and ACT, and believe that incorporating mindfulness into today’s busy world can not only help folks in managing their anxiety, but also in increasing satisfaction with life.
